business tips podcast monetization Nov 08, 2023
βοΈ This week we are continuing our content series on how to make meaningful income with a podcast at the center of your brand.
Last week we talked about making your first $1,000 as a podcaster and this week we are leveling up our goal to making $5,000 per month consistently.
One of the things that really helped me hit this mark before I went full time as a podcaster back in 2019 was to create a signature offer. My signature offer helped me define myself as a coach and get better results for my clients.
Here are three pro tips to help you develop a solid signature offer for your brand:
β Tip #1: Try to get your offer into the $1,500-$2,500 price range. Too many online entrepreneurs start way too low with their signature offer price. It is so much easier to make 2-3 sales in my suggested price range each month instead of trying to make dozens or even hundreds of sales at a much lower price range to hit our income goals.
Trust me Pod Pals, I think any online entrepreneur can start out in this price range and we can always add things to the offer to make you comfortable charging that price.
β Tip #2: Focus on solving just ONE pain point with your signature offer. I used to make the mistake of creating this super robust offer that solves "everything" in one whack. I soon realized that it was much better to solve one major pain point at a time and create stepping stones with our offers.
Now I know how smart you all are and you are probably yelling at your laptop screen "Ok Adam....which freaking pain point do I focus on????!!!!"
I've got you Pod Pals! I want you to take a look at the people in your audience and the overall journey that they want to go on from where they currently are to finding "success" in your specific niche that you teach within. Now ask yourself this question "Where is the traffic jam where most of these people are getting stuck right now?"
THAT is the pain point you want to solve with your signature offer!
β Tip #3: Consider using a hybrid course plus coaching model for your signature offer. I feel like too many people want to take the live coaching component out of the signature offer because it's not "scalable"....because that is what the mega millionaire online gurus are telling us.
Now, I agree that eventually we will run out of real estate on our calendar with one on one coaching clients....but to the podcaster that is making less than $5,000/month....this isn't an issue that they need to worry about right now. Let's just make some damn money!
If you are charging in the $1,500-$2,500 range for your offer, even a very part time online entrepreneur can handle 2-3 clients per month and get to that $5k goal.
I love the hybrid course plus coaching model because I can use the course to take the client through the essential components that I have to teach everyone (but I would probably go crazy if I had to teach these things live over and over again...LOL).....and then I can add my special Adam herbs and spices when we do live coaching and show my clients how to implement the video lessons according to their unique business and goals.
Now if you want to keep going down the $5,000/month income generation rabbit hole you will love this week's episode!

Check out what Esther has to say about working with me:
"I hired Adam to help me launch my podcast and not only did he make it easy by teaching me about podcasting, but also business as well. If you're looking to launch or grow your podcast, then you definitely need to hire Adam."
