⭐️ This week we are going to talk about moving your business through a new process that I call Podcasting Business Growth Timeline.
If you are an online coach, consultant, or label yourself as a service provider you should definitely try to leverage a podcast to increase your ability to get more ideal fit clients and grow your business revenue.
The thing about all this is that this journey can be really H.A.L.F (hard, annoying, lame, and frustration). My goal of today's news blast is to help you create a plan of action to go from H.A.L.F to E.L.F. (easy, lucrative, fun). Sound good?
I created the Podcasting Business Growth Timeline for podcasting entrepreneurs to use as a roadmap for their business growth journey. I want you to be able to clearly identify where your business is currently at, why you are in this zone, and the key action steps to take to move your business into the next zone of progress.
Many of you are in zone one of this process which I label as the "I'm excited to start making money" zone.
Here are four symptoms for a zone one business:
⚡️1. You are feeling excited about the potential of your podcasting brand.
⚡️2. You are attempting to duplicate marketing and business strategies that you see your favorite podcasters using.
⚡️3. You are feeling a little nervous because this podcast is ANOTHER thing added to your marketing task list.
⚡️4. You are probably feeling a little bit of Imposter Syndrome when it comes to creating offers and selling things to your audience because you aren't totally used to being "the expert".
Here are five action steps that I would suggest if you want to move your business from zone one into zone two:
✅ 1. Establish a consistent weekly content release pattern. No "breaks" or skipping weeks
✅ 2. Use ONE single CTA (call to action) for each episode and avoid any sales pitches for now. Focus on bringing people to a lead magnet or a social media platform.
✅ 3. Keep an open mind with your brand and be ready to adjust and pivot quickly. Most podcasters that hire me for consulting need to do a rebranding of some sort within their first 50 episodes. It's not a failure....it's a smart move!
✅ 4. Use my 2/3 Content Rule of Expert Positioning. This means that if you do interviews they can only make up a total of 1/3 of your monthly content. The other 2/3 needs to feature YOU as the expert with solo episodes and/or coaching style episodes.
✅ 5. Start building your Community To Client Bridge. My favorite way to do this is to start doing community and coaching style podcast episodes where I invite my listeners to come on the show to create content with me.
So this is how you get your business from zone one to zone two. In this week's podcast episode I walk you through the entire four zone journey!
