How Emma 7x'd her podcast downloads with ONE move.

I had one of those nights of sleep where I woke up at 3:00am.....and the "creativity curse" kicked in!
Sometimes the ideas just go into overdrive and I can't go back to bed!
Am I the only one that this happens to??
📈 Today we are going to talk about how one member of my Skool community 7x'd her weekly downloads with ONE strategy.
This is a case study that I've been very excited to share with you because of the simplicity of it all!
Emma has been podcasting for five years and she was averaging about 30 downloads per week....until I gave her one piece of advice and she hit over 200 downloads the next week!
Let's unpack this a bit!
When Emma joined my free Skool community her show was called My Lighter Way.
When someone new joins the community I send them a message to get to know them a bit and find out what their goals are.
Emma mentioned GROWTH so I recommended that she listen to episode 608 of my show.
That episode focused on the importance of getting keywords into the name of your podcast for SEO purposes.
Emma evaluated her podcast name "My Lighter Way" and realized that it didn't check any of the THREE boxes within my Perfect Podcast Naming Formula:
❌ 1. I want to know WHAT the show is about.
❌ 2. I want to know WHO the show is for.
❌ 3. I want to see at least ONE keyword.
Based on my advice within episode 608 she decided to add a title extension to her podcast name.
So she simply went into her podcast host and changed the listed name to:
➡️ My Lighter Way: Pregnancy, Birth & Postpartum Preparation.
Now she was rocking THREE strong keywords:
🎯 Pregnancy
🎯 Birth
🎯 Postpartum
Over the next week her downloads nearly 7x'd her weekly average as she hit 221 total.
Emma sent me this message:
I was just raving to my husband last night about how exciting it is to see growth..after five years of podcasting. And that was just from your free community!
Then last week inside of the community we did a 3-day SEO challenge and Emma optimized her SEO even further!
✅ On day ONE of the challenge she used my Quick & Dirty Rebrand strategy where she flipped her title extension and main name in her host.
So now she has a KEYWORD in the first word of her listed podcast name.

✅ On day TWO of the challenge she optimized her podcast ART so that she could feature all of the new keywords.
This is a step that podcasters tend to skip over!
When it comes to podcast SEO, it's actually a two part strategy.
👉 The keywords will bring your show onto the search screen of potential ideal fit podcast listeners.
👉 Your ART has to sell them and convince them to TAP on your show first.
If they don't see the keyword that they were searching for on your art, they probably won't click on it.
✅ On day THREE of the challenge she added a ton of keywords and implemented my Google/AI search strategy to her podcast host description.
Many podcasters don't realize that your host description is the SECOND most powerful SEO lever that you can pull....
even more powerful than your individual episode titles!
So...here's my prediction:
Emma was able to go from 30 downloads per week to over 200 per week just by adding a title extension with keywords.
I bet she will be hitting 400-500+ downloads per week by the end of October with these new upgrades that she's made........I will be sure to report back!
