    Hey Pod Pals!

This newsletter was lovingly curated (without the use of any AI) in real time on Thursday morning at 9:05am CST.

I live in one of those houses where there is a huge difference in temperature between the upstairs and the basement.

My podcast lair is in the frozen tundra region...which means that I'm sitting here bundled up drinking a warm cup of dirt flavored mushroom coffee because the air conditioner is on....🥶

Before we get started.....Ready to turn your podcast content into new CLIENTS?.. ⤵️

I'm excited to announce that registration for my Podcast Content To Clients Workshop is OPEN!

Join me on April 21-24 for this live 4-day virtual workshop!

This four day workshop is for coaches, consultants, and service providers that want to learn how to leverage their show to get new clients.

If you are ready to start earning meaningful income from all of the effort you are putting into your podcast...this workshop is for YOU!

I saw a post on Threads a couple of days ago where this question was asked..

What is the worst part about being a content creator?

The overwhelming response was...you guessed it....SOCIAL MEDIA!

When most of us get started as podcasters we subscribe to the Be Everywhere strategy where we attempt to post often on as many platforms as possible.

It's fun at first but then we realize it's a ton of work....so we start using off platform services to spray our content everywhere for us....

Which makes sense at first.....until we realize that this KILLS the reach of our content.

So, at this point, we are paying for an app to spray our content everywhere, getting almost ZERO growth/engagement, and we're feeling kinda frustrated about the whole deal.

But what if there was a different way to do this Pod Pals???

    Introducing my 1x15x1 strategy!

    Here are the components:

✔️ One focus social media platform.

✔️ Fifteen minutes per day of commenting on other people's posts.

✔️ (At least) one high value post per day.

At first it was really scary for me to just commit to one single social media platform.

The FOMO (fear of missing out) hit me hard....but I told myself that I can always go back to the old strategy if needed.

Here's a good checklist to use to help you find your single focus platform. (You should be able to check at least TWO of these boxes)

✅ I enjoy creating content for this platform. (This one is a MUST)

✅ When I post I usually get some engagement.

    ✅ I'm gaining followers regularly.

✅ People that follow me are also discovering my podcast.

✅ People that follow me are also discovering my newsletter.

✅ People that follow me are signing up for discovery calls.

✅ People that follow me are becoming clients.

At the time that I was making this decision to be a one platform kind of a guy I had about the same amount of followers on Threads and Instagram.

⭐️ The key difference was that with Instagram I could check off ZERO of these boxes and with Threads I could check off ALL of the boxes.

    My decision was made!

Now let's chat about the real KEY to this system: 15 minutes of daily engagement on other people's content.

The beautiful thing about this part of the strategy is that it will work on every single social media platform because all platforms (and their algorithm) love it when you engage on the platform!

📌 Fun Fact: I get twice as many followers each day on Threads from my comments vs my actual posts.

Here is something important to note: You can't be out there dropping a bunch of thumbs up emoji's 👍👍👍👍

Your comments need to be high value and well thought out.

When I first started doing this I would only be able to leave 3-5 comments in a 15 minute period...but then I got SMART and I started saving all of my best comments so I could use them again!

Now I can hop onto Threads and scroll around looking for conversations about podcasting/online business and I can copy/paste some high value commentary that will almost always attract some new followers.

    What about YOUR daily content?

The goal is at least ONE high value add post per day. This will be different for each social media platform.

📌 Pro Tip: I highly recommend natively posting on your focus platform instead of using an off platform app to schedule posts for you. Your content performance will be noticeably better!

Since Threads is a text focused platform I actually do four high value posts per day because it is really easy to create them (no dancing around in videos needed!).

With my four daily posts I try to:

    😎 Post something inspiring 1-2x

😎 Post some quick helpful tips 1-2x

😎 Post something that creates some expert positioning 1-2x

So...are you ready to join the Make Social Media Less Terrible Again movement??? (I'm already designing the MSMLTA hats for my online merch store!!! 😆)

But for real, if you are currently in burnout mode from social what do you have to lose?

You can always go back to the Be Everywhere strategy if that feels like the right move.

As for me, I'm about 80 days into my single platform focus and I'm enjoying the results!
