βοΈ This week we are going to talk about how to use my 28 Day Test method to figure out if you should add another podcast marketing strategy to your regimen.
As online marketers and content creators we have to walk a fine line between putting in consistent work to market our content and not using unnecessary and ineffective marketing strategies.
The worst part about this is we all get FOMO and want to do "all the things" that we see our peers doing!
So this week I wanted to give you a process that I use to test new marketing strategies and figure out if I should add them to my normal routine or not.
β Step #1: I keep an idea bank. I have a Google Sheet where I organize anything that I consider to be a decent idea for content creation, marketing, offer creation etc. I review my idea bank every Thursday to see if I need to implement any of them or start testing a new marketing method. This helps tremendously with getting rid of FOMO feelings!
β Step #2: I will typically have one single 28 day test period going on with a marketing idea from my idea bank. The basic idea is to give the new social media platform or marketing method a solid 28 day effort and see what happens.
β Step #3: Analyze the results at the end of the 28 day test. I have to honestly ask myself if the results were worth the effort I had to put in with the marketing strategy.
β Step #4: I don't add the marketing strategy as "another thing to do". Instead I look at the new strategy and my list of the current strategies and I ask myself "which one will this replace?". I have a three day work week and I can't afford to add an infinite amount of marketing methods so I have to compare the new method with one that might need to be deleted from the routine.
β Step #5: If the new method seems like it has more potential than the old method I make it official and add it to the routine!

π€© Client testimonial of the week: My client Jan Ditchfield has an awesome podcast called No BS Business School.
Check out what she has to say about working with me as her podcast growth and monetization consultant:
"Before I started working with Adam I was caught in the post launch frustration zone. I couldn't figure out how to make my podcast grow, and it certainly wasn't making me any sales. My business was doing well, but my podcast wasn't part of my funnel.
If anything, it was more like a chore than it was something that was bringing me revenue. Within three weeks of working with Adam, I doubled my downloads and brought an additional $6,500 in revenue into my business. Adam helped me get really clear on understanding the systems, the strategies, and the funnel that was going to work for my audience.
I'm a fan of Adam's for life and one of the best decisions I've ever made in my business was working with him. If you've been struggling to get your podcast to grow, if you're struggling to figure out how to monetize it, if you just need some guidance from somebody who really is in your corner...Adam's your guy!"
