podcast content ideas podcast monetization Oct 16, 2025

    Hey Pod Pals!

This newsletter was lovingly curated (without the use of any AI) in real time on Thursday morning at 8:48am CST.

We've got a CRAZY family schedule today full of car maintenance, parent/teacher conferences, and attempting to actually get some work done!

I've prioritized my morning walk/coffee routine so I'm ready to show up here for you and hopefully deliver something useful!

Real quick before we dive into this week's topic.... ⤵️

I'm focused on helping podcasters SOLVE these four specific problems:

    1. How to optimize your podcast launch.

    2. How to grow your podcast past 1,000 downloads per episode.

    3. How to convert more podcast listeners into paying clients.

    4. How to simplify your online business so it feels easy, lucrative, and fun.

If you want to explore how we can work together to solve these problems hop on my free Podcast Profit Potential Discovery Call calendar.

This week we are going to address this problem:

🚨 How do I use my podcast to get more clients?

I think one of the most common mistakes I see podcasters making is that we tend to CTA puke all over our audience (CTA = Call To Action).

In the first three minutes of every episode we fire out 17 CTA's for our audience to deal with like:

    -Subscribe

    -Get my free things.

    -Buy my paid things.

    -Email me with questions.

-Follow me on ALL of these social media platforms.

    -Check out my awesome website.

.....and now.....a word from our sponsors....😆

I help my clients implement my SIMPLE CTA strategy for their show and it works amazingly well.

The goal is to deliver ONE simple CTA in the intro/outro that clearly leads our audience towards a desired result.

One of the absolute best examples I can give you of this actually comes from an experience I had in college.....so let's dive into a quick Story Time with Adam segment.

👉 The year was 2002 and I was a Junior at Indiana University sitting in the dorm cafeteria enjoying my delicious meal from Taco John's.

    Then something unexpected happened....

A beautiful young woman approached me and provided this simple call to action:

"Hey do you want to buy a ticket for the Kiss Off?"

She understood my desired result (a ticket to Make-Out City!) and the action step was clear (buy a ticket you big idiot!).

It took me about 0.001 seconds to reply with:

    "Please take all my money!"

I was a poor college student so "all my money" was $5.00 and that was enough to buy ONE ticket.

I had to put my name/number on the ticket and she said I would get a call if my ticket got pulled.

Later that evening........my dorm room phone rang!!!!!!

It was the greatest moment in all 21 years of my life......until I figured out what I actually signed up for....😆

I found out that the "Kiss Off" had nothing to do with kissing beautiful sorority girls.....it was a JEEP Kiss Off.

They pulled 15 tickets and it was a contest to win a brand new Jeep. The contestants had to "kiss the Jeep" and the last one standing won the Jeep.

I made the decision to go all in and try to win the Jeep because then one of the sorority girls might want to also kiss me. It made perfect sense in my head!

And by "all-in"...I mean that I decided to wear an adult diaper so that I could stand there as long as it took...LOL!

It never crossed my mind that a beautiful sorority girl would never want to make-out with Mr Poopy Pants.

Lucky for me the adult diaper strategy never factored in.

The challenge was BRUTAL because my spot on the Jeep was on the hood. I had to bend over and put my mouth on the Jeep and no other part of my body was allowed to touch...aka...I couldn't lie on top of the hood, use my hands to hold myself up, etc.

I ended up only making it about 8 hours.....and the person who won went for over 40 HOURS! They also had to go to the hospital afterwards due to blood clots in their legs from standing there for so long!

No beautiful sorority girls were kissed that night, but I did walk away with a great story and a valuable lesson on CTA's!

Now back to YOU and your podcast intro/outro CTA.

Here's a simple formula that I use with my clients that you can use as a template:

➡️ "I love helping my clients (name a problem you solve). If you are ready for some help with (name the problem you solve) then go to the show notes and (Call to action to the link to your discovery call)."

Ideally this should be the ONLY CTA you mention in your intro/outro of your podcast......seriously....get rid of the rest of them!

You can still list a few other things in your episode notes. I usually include my discovery call link, newsletter link, and my website.

You can also implement this strategy in your newsletter... just like this ⤵️

I love helping my clients SIMPLIFY their content and online business strategy so that they can leverage their content to get more clients.

🤩 Client Testimonial of the week: My client Ashley Patrick has a show called the Money Mindset podcast.

Check out what she has to say about working with me:

"By using Adam's system I've been able to improve my closing rate and create higher ticket offers so that I'm actually being paid what I'm worth! I was nervous about raising my prices...but I actually closed my first client before I even finished my coaching program with Adam!"
