business tips podcast content ideas Jul 19, 2023
βοΈ This week we are going to talk about a specific skill that most podcasters need to acquire: The ability to plan ahead.
The first battle we all face as new podcasters is to just get out consistent content. That's all we really need to worry about and we will eventually get our content rhythm in place.
The problem is that most podcasters stay in this content creation zone where our content doesn't really have any game plan behind it.....and this leads to missed opportunities especially when it comes to our business.
The summer months are a great time of year to develop the skill of thinking ahead with our content and our business and I wanted to use something I've been working on as an example to explain what I'm talking about.
So for the last couple of months I've been working on what I would consider a pretty major project. It involves:
π A new podcast.
π A new lead magnet for that podcast.
π A new email funnel for that lead magnet.
π A new online course that aligns with the topic of the new podcast.
π A new free challenge that introduces the topic (like an appetizer) to the new online course.
So now that I'm in the final stages of building out all of these things it's time to map out the roll out of everything.
This will involve booking the date of my free challenge and working backwards from there.
I will want to include the following in my content creation plan:
π I will want to cover the new podcast topic on Podcasting Business School for 2-3 episodes and use the new podcast as the single call to action.
π With the new show I'm using a new podcasting technique that I've somewhat mastered. I will spend 2-3 episodes on Podcasting Business School explaining this new technique with a call to action to direct people to my free challenge.
π During the free challenge I will help the participants decide if the new podcasting concept is a good fit for them and then launch my new online course that will teach everyone how to master it for their own business.
If you are vibing with all of this and want to get better at planning ahead with your business and your content then this week's episode will be your JAM!

π€© Client WIN of the week: My client Kristin Sweeting is really killing it with her Dangerous Creatives podcast. Check out what she had to say about working with me in my Podcasting Business Accelerator program:
"Coaching with Adam was so much fun. I saw a ton of improvement in growth in our podcast. Our guests are loving the coaching episodes, and we've seen our downloads go up a lot too. We have booked paid sponsors, been growing our coaching program and it's just really nice to feel like you have a friend in your corner. I definitely recommend working with Adam if you are starting to grow your podcast. He is just such good energy to have around and I always felt motivated and inspired after our coaching calls."
